Summer Internships Program 2025

The Gate New York is looking for our next group of Summer Interns for 2025! We’re offering internships across our account management, strategy, media/analytics, and creative departments.

So, if you’re interested getting some real-world experience at a New York ad agency, check out the job descriptions for each department, and see what is the best fit for you.

Here are the important things you need to know:

  • Applications open 1/3/2025 and close 2/21/2025.

  • Finalists will be interviewed during the month of March.

  • Offers will be sent in early April.

  • The internship runs from 6/3/2025 through 8/7/2025.

  • This is a paid internship.

  • You are required to work full-time (30 hours per week) for the duration of the internship program (9.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 1pm on Fridays. Yay Summer Fridays!).

  • This internship is a hybrid model. You must be willing to work in person at our NYC office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). We work from home on Mondays and Fridays.

  • Housing and associated living costs will be the responsibility of the interns.

  • You must be a rising senior to be eligible for this program.

  • You must be eligible to work in the USA.

 Strategy Internship

Learning Opportunities | Introduction to Advertising Strategies

Consumer, Competitive, and Cultural Insights:

  • Conduct market research to uncover valuable consumer insights that will inform our strategic approach.

  • Analyze customer data and create detailed audience personas to better understand target demographics.

  • Learn about and execute social listening & audience-building analysis.

  • Conduct desk research to help uncover social and cultural trends with client relevance

  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for our clients.

  • Translate research findings into compelling narratives that inspire the creative team.

 

Brand + Communications Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the strategy team to develop comprehensive brand positioning, messaging, and communications approaches.

  • Explore ways to elevate brand identity through thoughtful design and impactful storytelling.

  • Assist in the creation of strategic brand guidelines and toolkits.

  • Present your ideas to the leadership team and receive valuable feedback.

 

Creative Strategy:

  • Immerse yourself in the creative process, working closely with our award-winning creative directors.

  • Contribute to the development of big, bold campaign concepts that push the boundaries of traditional advertising.

  • Provide a fresh, outside-the-box perspective to help solve complex client challenges.

  • Learn how to translate strategic insights into inspiring creative briefs.
