Summer Internships Program 2025

The Gate New York is looking for our next group of Summer Interns for 2025! We’re offering internships across our account management, strategy, media/analytics, and creative departments.

So, if you’re interested getting some real-world experience at a New York ad agency, check out the job descriptions for each department, and see what is the best fit for you.

Here are the important things you need to know:

  • Applications open 1/3/2025 and close 2/21/2025.

  • Finalists will be interviewed during the month of March.

  • Offers will be sent in early April.

  • The internship runs from 6/3/2025 through 8/7/2025.

  • This is a paid internship.

  • You are required to work full-time (30 hours per week) for the duration of the internship program (9.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 1pm on Fridays. Yay Summer Fridays!).

  • This internship is a hybrid model. You must be willing to work in person at our NYC office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). We work from home on Mondays and Fridays.

  • Housing and associated living costs will be the responsibility of the interns.

  • You must be a rising senior to be eligible for this program.

  • You must be eligible to work in the USA.

Media/Analytics Internship

If you're interested in channel planning, buying, social media, and data analytics in a fun, fast-paced work environment, then this internship is for you. You will have the opportunity to learn, be mentored, and collaborate with all members of the team, from leadership to our newest team members.

You will receive a broad range of exposure and experience in the areas of business relations, project management, and organizational skills that can be leveraged across many industries. This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn about the intersection of media, advertising, and data-driven decision-making in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Learning Opportunities | Introduction to Media and Analytics

Media:

  • Learn about digital advertising by working with the media team to collect and review research about various websites and digital-ad technologies.

  • Gain a thorough understanding of every phase of the media-buying process by compiling and reviewing media recommendations, the collection and digestion of vendor collateral, the ongoing compilation of digital screenshots, and billing reconciliation.

  • Gain exposure to publisher and client meetings, when appropriate.

  • Learn about social media as it relates to advertising by monitoring and researching trends/best practices, assisting with content creation and management, and tracking the analytics of paid and unpaid social media programs.

Analytics:

  • Learn how to analyze data to extrapolate insights and find the story in the numbers.

  • Support the aggregation, reporting, and analysis of data across all agency clients.

  • Provide logistical and analytical support to the team as requested, including monitoring marketing programs to evaluate success.

  • Independently create presentations in PowerPoint to communicate data findings to business leaders.

  • Work closely with the media team to assist with day-to-day questions about live campaigns, and with the account management team to assist with any day-to-day client queries.
